Yan Memorial

~ In memory of Yan Cerna (2012.02.27) ~

A extraordinary person, whom I had the luck to meet, to appreciate and love. A bright light who will shine forever.
Beloved founder and Soke of our clan.

Few times in our lifes happens to have the the luck to meet special persons, who bring light and leave a sign in people who they get in contact with.
Yan was one of those. She was light, energy, determination, love. Was like a beautiful comet, who left us too early but shone so much that who had the opportunity to know her will not forget her.

Life was never easy for her, and made her pass through proves that most of the people could not even belive. The world can be hard, people can be evil, and she has known that, she faced that. But Yan was not a common person, she was smart, combative, and one who cannot be bent. People can be evil, and she payed an hard price because of them. But she was not used to give up, even when she had to face the hard fight against cancer, a cancer that in the end took her, but not her spirit who will always live in who loved her.

I met her in a virtual world, we spent together every single day for more than one year, we soon get very close each other, united. I loved her, truly, deeply. For some one could seem weird, how can two persons so distant fall in love. Distance can separate bodies but still, hearts and souls of two persons can be so close to touch, blend together. And that she was to me, a part of my own soul, a piece of my heart.

Let her go, this way, is hard. But I beleive, now she is finally happy, free from all that pain. I feel lucky, honored, to have had the possibility to meet her, know her, share with her happy and sad moments, learn from her. And I learnt a lot. I learnt from her determination that she always has put in everything she did. I learnt that even when all seems go bad, even in pain, is possible go ahead, fight and never give up. She was a true fighter, used to give her best in all she did, used to give all herself to help other people. She had a big heart, and was sweet. Was both strong like a blade and sweet and delicate like flower, a beautiful delicate flower in the desert who cannot go unnoticed.

I will never forget her, and all that she mean to me. Fly free in the sky my sweet angel with a big smile on your face, guard us until the day we will finally meet again.

With love,
Ryoma Oanomochi

  1. I was so sad when I found this out I have been away for a long time, now she is at peace and I pray for the love ones she left behind to have strength in great adversary. To of know yan as well as to be trained by her even for a brief amount of time was a blessing.

  2. Her very nature and being lives through us, her determination sparking ideas which still to this day flow from our very actions. To know her and each of you , the experiences we had from the common interests we shared, I will still carry on a dream we created together. The most important thing to remember is the strength we achieved from our experiences as well. The ties that bind us will never wither.

  3. We didn't know each other much, but I remember you. There was this shrine beside the keibatsu dojo and everytime I passed through it doors I thought of you. Been welcomed in your Edo Japan universe was quite an experience thank you. You were a formidable opponent and to this day you are still better than me. I remember this fight me, you and Eien got into on top of the Matsumoto Castle when I first started playing. You kicked my butt hard, hehe, but it was absolutely thrilling.
